R + J: AN UNCIVIL TALE had it's World Premiere on April 10, 2015 at The Nuyorican Poets Cafe in New York City and ran a limited engangment of 12 performances.

 

The play was written and directed by Adam Mace.

 

Set in the border-state of Kentucky in 1863 Civil War America, Romeo, son of the former-slave Montague's, meets Juliet, daughter of the Confederate Capulet's.
